This cylinder head is not a direct copy of an RB26 cylinder head. Although it will fit on an OEM RB cast iron block.
We have made significant design improvements to take the RB to the next level for Street, Strip or Extreme Race.
Specifically, we have improved the port shapes to increase inlet and exhaust flow without increasing valve size. Additionally, we have upgraded the cams and valvetrain to match the increased efficiency of the modern turbo designs.
The larger cam journal improves camshaft rigidity and valvetrain stability, while the large base circle and high lift lobes keep the valves open higher for longer without having to increase total duration. This results in better breathing, more efficiency, more cylinder pressure and faster turbo speed recovery.
